Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data, whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature, it could lead to users identification through processing and association with data held by third parties.  This category of data includes IP addresses, addresses in URI notation of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server and other parameters related to the user’s operating system and IT environment. Such data is solely used to compile anonymous statistics on the use of the website and to verify its correct operation.

Data submitted voluntarily by users

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated on this website entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary to reply to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the messages. The processing is carried out directly by the data controller, also through his internal agents.

Cookies:

Cookies are short fragments of text (letters and/or numbers) which allow the web server to store information on the client (the browser) to be reused during the same visit to the website (session cookies) or later, even after days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored, according to user preferences, from a single browser on the specific device being used (computer, tablet, smartphone). Similar technologies, such as, for example, web beacons, clear GIFs and all forms of local storage introduced with HTML5, can be used to gather information on user behavior and use of services. While browsing, these types of cookies will be installed by the website: session, analytical and third-party profiling and in the remainder of this document we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies by simply using the term “cookie”.

Depending on the characteristics and use of cookies, we may distinguish between different categories:

They are not used for any other purpose and are usually installed directly by the website’s owner or operator. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria in order to improve the service rendered to the same. The prior consent of the users is not required for the installation of such cookies, while the obligation to provide the information pursuant to Art. 13 of the Code, which the operator of the website, if using only such devices, may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.

Profiling cookies: are those that create profiles related to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same user while surfing the internet. Such devices can be particularly invasive in terms of user privacy; for this reason Italian and European legislations require users to be properly informed on the use of the same and to express their valid consent. They are referenced by Section 122 of the Privacy Code which sets out that “the storage of information in the end device of a subscriber or a user or access to information already stored therein is only allowed on the condition that the subscriber or user has given their consent, having been informed by the simplified means provided for in Section 13, paragraph 3” (Section 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This website uses profiling cookies.
